Karen Florence Ridnour, age 66 of Polson, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 after a valiant fight with breast cancer. She was born on August 11, 1947 in Sheridan, WY to John Kenneth & Vedia Kerr. When she was two years old they moved to Montana where her parents homesteaded. She graduated from Polson High School in 1965. On May 17, 1965 she married Leonard Ridnour. They made their home in Polson. She worked at Price's Cafe, Evergreen rest home, and St. Joseph Hospital where she was known for her good cooking. Karen was baptized 24 years ago as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She took very serious the privilege of telling people about the hope of paradise. That promise of the paradise brought her much comfort. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, but most of all spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and a good friend. Survivors include: her husband Leonard Ridnour, Polson; 3 daughters: Teresa (Carl) Leuth, Spokane, WA; Kathy Ridnour, Polson, MT; Laura Dawn Ridnour, Polson, MT; 1 son: Kenny Bill (Jennifer) Ridnour, Polson, MT; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two more on the way. Survivors also include her sister Martha McKenzie, Sheridan, WY and niece Tana Erickson and family, Pablo, MT. Memorial services will take place Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. At the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Hwy 93 in Polson. Reception to follow at the Polson Middle School cafeteria.
